A Dose of Reality: by Damian Bazadona

What happens to Damian's Carolla?

OK. While it's easily to laugh now at my car getting stolen, it really sucked when it happened. Sure, the paperwork, police reports, and bike-riding, was a pure pain in the ass but the phone call I received from the guy that stole my car really pissed me off.

Here is what actually happened... I parked my car in front of my apartment in Queens. The next day when I went to get it, it was gone. Towed? Stolen? I wasn't sure. That night when I walked in from work I received a message on my answering machine that confirmed my worst fears. It was stolen. To make things even more annoying, the jerk that stole my Corolla was actually the one that called my house to tell me!

The police were little help in this mess as I had to travel to the beautiful landscapes of the SOUTH BRONX to track down my car. I don't know if many of you had taken a swing to the South Bronx at 3AM... but let me tell you now, it is not a joyous experience.

When I saw whatever was left of my car... I was pissed. It wasn't until I found all of my papers including my credit card statements, bank statements, documents with my social security number spread all over the street, when I almost had a heart attach. (Lesson learned to never leave any 'personal information' in your car.)

Well, the saga is now over and I have collected on my insurance money and did OK. But the footage I recorded (answering machine message and video tape) still gives me the absolute creeps! I hope you enjoy the movie... because I sure as hell didn't!
