First
You Talk To Jim, Then You Talk To Jesus:
by
Jim Green
Our
Pastor: Pastor Jim's latest
In
1997, Pastor Jim moved to New York City to start The New
Version Church. Jim comes to us from California where he
was a wayward soul searching for some meaning in his life.
After experiencing an encounter with Christ one night while
in a dreamstate he was suddeny awakened by a trememdous
earthquake, one of which was big enough to shake his entire
house breaking out several windows. He considered it an
epiphany and from that time forward was changed. He came
to New York to spread the Word of God.
1,500
sermons, and 2 church members later, Pastor Jim is still
going strong as New Version's senior pastor located at 34
W. 23rd street.
He
is the author of four books: First You Talk To Jim, And
Then You Talk To Jesus; Loving your City When You're From
a Small Town (co-authored and set to lyrics with Jason Lewis),
Don't Get A New Life, Just get It Resouled; Troubled People
in their Twenties (co-author written by Joseph White).
With
a daily dose of Bible study, prayer, long talks and laughter
with God, and breakfast burritos, Pastor Jim continues to
press toward the goal of making it hard to go to Hell from
New York City.
