Trying to get a real taste for this scene, so I could tell you about it I signed on to 5 different systems. ( I may have overdone it, but oh well).  After scouring reports and feedback from satisfied customers, married folk, peoples whose lives were changed, and those souls who were abducted and disappeared off the face of the earth, I decided on these five, ranked best to worst:

    1. Match.com

    2. New York Matchmaker

    3. Excite 2000 Classifieds Personals

    4. The Globe

    5. Loveboat.Net

Some of the criteria I judged by include number of responses, availability and variety of people, completeness of questionnaire and background info, ease of use, and finally, Privacy and security. The biggest disappointment to me in this endeavor was when a system allowed users to create a profile without telling any information about themselves. Now granted, besides being as innocuous as a mailbox number, having the computer constantly try to "hook me up"  with PAT 200 became increasingly annoying, considering the fact that I wasn't sure if Pat was, well you know the rest. ( No offense Pat!)
