| United Magnetics
fastens a combination of guitar fury and delicate melodic sensibilities
onto a roaring punk rock engine of relentless bass and drums. The
result is a hard-hitting but tuneful attack that artfully dodges the
genre's two customary defining characteristics -- indulgent over-aggression
and bubblegum sticky-sweetness. Cutting their teeth in New York City
venues of all shapes (but typically only one size), the band's energy
was captured on tape by Don
Fury on their brand new full-length CD entitled Reinventing
The Fifth Wheel,co-released by the band and fledgling Arizona
punk label Bad Stain Records. United Magnetics' online headquarters
(unitedmagnetics.com)
offers sound files, images, and lyrics, and is constantly updated
with new information. |
